Spring Creatures Clay Camp (4-6 years)

Jump into clay handbuilding in this special spring break session for young artists. We'll build clay fairy houses and gnome homes, paint and explore printmaking. Children will work on individual and collaborative projects in this special session of artmaking that explores the critters who come alive in spring!
Date: March 28 & 30 (Tue/Th)
Cost: $55 for two- day program

Cabin Fever Clay Camp (6-12 years) - SESSION IS FULL

We'll take inspiration from the outdoors and warmer climates to create artwork in clay and mixed media. Students who take three days get a Thursday pottery wheel session. Spend spring break in a studio environment where problem-solving, collaboration, creativity and imagination are all encouraged. We'll have an afternoon snack each day.
Time: 1:00-4:00pm (Tu/Wed/Th)

Cost: $65 for two-day (Tu/Wed) program or $95 for three days (Tu/Wed/Th three-day class includes a pottery wheel workshop). Includes all materials, kiln firings and snacks. Register online or call (231) 421-8085.
T-Shirt Design and Screenprinting (11-16 years)
Make your own t-shirts or posters in this afternoon screenprinting crash-course. Learn how to burn images onto a screen, choose and mix inks and print on fabric and paper. Bring in your own tank tops or t-shirt s and print up to five--for yourself and friends! Work from one of our designs or bring in some of your own black and white images.
Date: Wednesday, March 29
Cost: $45 includes all materials and a snack. Students are welcome to bring additional t-shirts or tank tops to screenprint.
Pottery Wheel Intensive (ages 11-16 years) - CLASS NOT AVAILABLE
Work with master potter Phil Wilson and dive into the possibilities of throwing on the wheel. We'll cover basics of centering and forming a bowl, then add interesting handbuilt sculptures, handles and more. Students will use colored underglazes to decorate their pieces, then leave them for firing in the kiln. Absolute beginner to intermediate students.
