Metals & Enameling


Our metals program has offerings for beginner to advanced. Explore techniques ranging from copper enameling to lost wax casting, and learn the basics of forming and working with metal. We offer both kiln and torch-fired methods and projects range from small jewelry pieces to larger copper bowls.

 Metal wall hangings

Create one of these popular wall hangings and learn your way around measuring, marking, cutting, drilling, filing, and texturing shaped metal to create a multi-piece contemporary wall hanging. Participants have the options of enameling and kiln-firing pieces to add color to their design. Choose from copper and/or brass. 

 Thursday, May 17, 5:30-8pm

Cost: $45 includes all materials.

Botanical bowls

Create a work of art for your table using leaves and plants as stencils. Beginning with copper, we'll explore the process of enameling (fusing glass to metal) in a kiln. Then,  use  natural stencils to create beautiful textures and interesting patterns in copper.
